Magánbiztonságról határtalanul
Absztrakt
Cél: A tanulmány elkészítésének célja az egyes országok magánbiztonsági szektorának kialakulását elemezve betekintés nyújtani a biztonságipar sok esetben eltérő fejlődésű, de számos azonosságot mutató mindennapjaiba.
Módszertan: A tanulmány az érintett államok kutatóinak tudományos munkáit segítségül hívva, esetenként meghökkentő vagy akár követendő külföldi példák és gyakorlatok ismertetésével nyújt betekintést Észtország, Mexikó, Dél-Afrika, Ausztrália, Anglia és Kanada magánbiztonsági szektorának működésébe, valamint a nemzetközi jog által csak kevéssé szabályozott katonai magánvállalatok nemzetközi tevékenységébe.
Megállapítások: A szerző az egyes nemzetek magánszektorainak – rezsimeket, államokat erősítő vagy gátló – működését vizsgálva bizonyítja, hogy míg a szektort övező politikai viták nagyrészt hasonló tartalmúak, addig az azokra adott válaszok államonként, nemzetenként is eltérő képet is alkothatnak.
Érték: A biztonságipar fejlődését és működését, talán még a témával foglalkozók számára is újszerűen bemutató tanulmány a magánbiztonság angolszász szakirodalmában jelen lévő meghatározó trendek mellett olyan fogalmakat is értelmez, mint a csomóponti kormányzás, a lehorgonyzott pluralizmus vagy a globális észak és dél, illetőleg a magánbiztonság nemzetenként eltérő elméleti tartalmát is megvizsgálja.
