Author Biography

László Lénárt, University of Miskolc, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering

LÁSZLÓ LÉNÁRT graduated in geological engineering in 1974 and in environmental engineering in 1990. After 3 years of industrial work in coal geology and soil mechanics and hydrogeology, he joined the University of Miskolc, from where he retired in 2016. As a full professor, he still teaches there, carries out industrial work, publishes, and carries out diverse professional and social work. The number of his publications exceeds 320, and the number of manuscript reports is similar. His research areas are radon research in caves, springs, and residential buildings, cave bat protection, cave climatology and therapy, karst hydrogeology and hydrology, water and water base protection, water research, and water procurement (thermal karst well design). His main professional activity is the establishment of the Bükki Karst Water Level Detection System (BKÉR), launched in 1992, and its continuous operation to this day.
