Absztrakt

This paper explores the sapiential nature of Christian faith and its intellectual implications in the context of contemporary epistemology and philosophy of science. Drawing on the works of St. Bonaventure, particularly his insights into theological wisdom, the discussion contrasts modern scientific norms − objectivism, empiricism, and rationalism − with a sapiential approach to knowledge that transcends reductionist methodologies. The paper argues that while modern science often operates within fragmented frameworks of understanding, the Christian sapiential perspective integrates reason, faith, and spiritual insight, offering a holistic view of truth. The study highlights the fact that the sapiential perspective represents a mode of knowledge that transcends the methodological limitations of modern science and leads science back to its true identity.
