Abstract

Neurosyphilis occurs as part of syphilis in the central nervous system and can manifest at any stage of the infection. In recent years, with the increase in the syphilis infection rate, the incidence of neurosyphilis has gradually increased. Nowadays, typical symptoms of neurosyphilis have become rare, and atypical manifestations have increased. Diagnosis and treatment of neurosyhilis is a multidiciplinary task, which may challenge practicing venerologists. In our retrospective research, we analyzed the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory and therapeutic data of 175 patients diagnosed with neurosyphilis in a 10-m year period between 2011 and 2022, at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Dermatooncology.
