Abstract

In relation to puppetry: the essence space of the puppet is the theatrical performance, deprivation from the world means the lack of identity (not moving, being disconnected from playing). At exhibitions, the functionality of the puppet with damil, sticks is striking. The mechanical capabilities of the puppet figure suggest the possibility of opening up this peculiar world. The opportunity to move, to get into play, and thus prove his puppetry. Looking at Zsolt Szász's puppets, we get the feeling that they just stopped to see them and then continue or start over the story. For we do not necessarily want the puppet to move, to produce itself, to show the dead matter coming to life, but to know its history. Because puppets are present in their historicity. They are tied to the primordial narrative in which they were born.
