“Ovibringa” – awareness-raising with long-term effects
Abstract
One of the common objectives of current European, national and urban transport strategies is to increase the share of urban cycling significantly. However, when setting a city's transport strategy, the definition of goals is not based solely on aspects of the transportation profession. Among the most pressing problems of the 21st century in Hungary are the unhealthy lifestyle resulting from the lack of regular physical activity, the declining transport culture due to the lack of proper training, and the significant environmental impact of the transport sector. The mission of the OviBringa Program (a support program for cycling in kindergardens) is to provide a single solution to these three challenges in a way that has the most longterm possible impact.
