Requirements for ballast water systems of seagoing ships
Abstract
A tengerhajózás környezetvédelmileg legérzékenyebb területe az intenzív tengeri áruszállításokkal és a hajók ballasztolásával a ballasztvízzel behurcolt idegen élőszervezetek elleni védekezés. Mivel az áruval nem terhelt hajóknál a ballaszt megkerülhetetlen (a hajó trimmje, dőlésszöge és stabilitása biztonsági tényező), kizárólag egy lehetőség marad a ballasztvíz-tartályokban lévő ballasztvíz élőanyag-tartalmának csökkentése, a ballasztvíznek az út során való célnak megfelelő cseréje, a bevett, illetve a kidobott ballasztvíz kezelése, illetve bővebben a ballasztvíz menedszmentje.
