Application of additive manufacturing technology in the shipping industry
Abstract
Due to their advantageous technical and economic properties, additive manufacturing technology solutions have also appeared
in water transport and shipbuilding. The importance of the process is well illustrated by the fact that it has become widespread in less than a decade despite the technical shift from manual or smallscale
shipbuilding being costly and timeconsuming.
The experience of recent years has proved that it has been worth
taking the risk associated with these factors, as during this time lake boating has boomed, the demand for boats from private individuals has increased, so the aspect of rapidness and productivity has
come to the fore.
