Improvement of road transport in the Szigetköz by means of intermunicipal roads

Abstract

The topics, which present current and practical application opportunities, give a good sense of the transport challenges faced by a well-defined territorial unit – the Szigetköz, an island on the Danube in Western Hungary – and the solutions that can be found in the development of inter-municipal roads. The implementation of the road and cycle path network improvements proposed in this presentation can ensure that the Szigetköz region remains a liveable and sustainable area in the future, from the point of view of the population and transport alike.
