Annex VI of the 50-ear-old MARPOL treaty Shipping, air pollution and climate change
Abstract
In 2023, it will be 50 years since the London-based International Maritime Organization (IMO) established and operates the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships [MARPOL 1973/1978], as modified by the 1978 Protocol. It was only with the 1997 Protocol that it provided more complete protection against air pollution, i.e. climate change.References
