Fees for authors

The journal aims to operate on a community-based principle, meaning that the community undertakes as many tasks as possible to ensure that the remaining costs are not burdensome for researchers and writers. The submitting author agrees to leverage their expertise in the service of the community by reviewing four subsequent articles. Authors prepare their articles for publication according to the guidelines. In the final stage, authors only make corrections using comment bubbles in the PDF versions of the articles, minimizing the level of work required to produce the manuscript.

For tasks not completed by the community, the author pays a flat fee of €100 to cover expenses. In the case of research directly related to specifically named, commercially available products, this contribution amounts to €300.

Summary for authors: 

• offer of time and expertise for four (4) further article peer reviews

• €100 flat fee (credit card payment) as a contribution to editorial costs
