Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease with heterogeneous clinical manifestations and complex pathomechanism. The disease requires lifelong management BY expanding range of therapeutic options. Allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) can be used as a disease-modifying treatment in well-defined allergic disorders. The aim of this article is to introduce AIT to readers and to review its potential application in AD.
