Abstract

The rapid increase in the number of genetic diagnostic and screening tests requires a rethinking of the practice and regulation of genetic counseling. It also requires detailed regulation of the security aspects related to the storage and transmission of the huge amount of data generated. Genetics is a rapidly evolving field of healthcare, and its complexity will require the help of artificial intelligence in the near future.
