Changes in activities carried out while travelling before and after the pandemic
Abstract
Using public transport allows passengers to carry out other useful activities. In our research, we examined the proportion of activities
performed while travelling, based on data from two surveys conducted four years apart on the Budapest metro. The distribution
of activities followed a similar pattern in both years, but there was a significant change in the proportion of telecommunication devices
used and an increase in the use of smart devices by older passengers.
