Homiletics of a Revolution
Trying to find a way forward in the crisis of the pulpit
Abstract
The following paper, based on the fundamental experience of the occasional crisis of the pulpit, presents Clyde E. Fant's theory of the „preaching cycle". Then, in search of possible paths, it presents four homiletical movements that emerged in the second half of the 1960s, Calvary Chapel’s homiletic (1), the homiletics of liberation theology (2), the New Homiletics (3), and the Radical Homiletics (4).
