Absztrakt
The study deals with critical editions among the summaries and collective works being produced at the Institute of Literary Studies. In this context, it describes the institutional framework of textual criticism in Hungary, focusing particularly on the role of the Textological Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in preparing critical editions. It also briefly touches on the social significance of scholarly text editing. The study focuses specifically on electronic publishing within the context of critical editions, distinguishing between different types (digitised, informatised and born-digital editions) and describing the key elements and tools of the DigiPhil digital philology methodology used at the Institute for Literary Studies. To illustrate critical editions produced at the Institute, the study describes the activities of the Babits Research Group and the opportunities that digital conversion offers for scholarly text editions.
