Frontier ideologies on the 19-20th-century Hungary

Abstract

States located on the frontier of two or more cultures are in a particular geopolitical situation, whichaffects the foreign policy and warfare ideologies of such states. Ideologies linked to this particulargeopolitical situation are frontier ideologies. Hungarian state was founded on the frontier of twocultures, and it retained its particular geopolitical situation during its history. One or other form offrontier ideologies was appearing in the Hungarian foreign policy and warfare thought from time totime. One of the most famous such idea is the ideology of the Bastion of Christianity. The heyday ofHungarian frontier ideologies was the 19th and the 20th centuries which is the topic of this article.
