Document Analysis Methodology for Military Science Studies

Abstract

Document analysis is a typical research method in social sciences. However, no comprehensive and systematic methodology for institutional documents has been published so far in Hungarian, although such analysis could result in useful information on the operation of institutional systems and on political processes. The article attempts to systematize the possible approaches to document analysis, including the links between a document and its context, the connection between the criteria of textuality and document analytical tools, as well as the means of extracting the perception of reality and the vision of the future.
