Energy efficiency in the operation of the Hungarian Defense Forces in the period of peace

Abstract

Energy security and energy efficiency are terms that we can hear often in the news. Energy security is mostly relevant only to security policy analysis, but energy efficiency we can experience in most areas of our life and mostly it is mentioned as something we should improve. It is not so obvious that these two things are closely related. Regarding energy security, it is inevitable to mention the role of the defense sphere, but it is less well-known that energy efficiency is also increasingly important for the defense sector, primarily as a defense economical issue that needs to be addressed when building up a modern armed force.
