Assessment of the environmental safety's aspects of the transportation of dangerous goody by railways - part II.

Abstract

Ensuring a high level of protection to the population and the environmental elements bears special importance and poses a complex task at the same time. After the determination of the environmental aspects of dangerous goods transport by rail the first part of the series of articles was dealing with assessment of the environmental impact resulting from air pollution. In this papers, the authors are going to examine water and soil pollution, noise and vibration pollution as well as the effects of dangerous waste. Finally, the authors set out to perform an assessment on the environmental safety activities of the Hungarian railway company.
