Abstract

The removal of the leader of Al Qaeda from the war theatre, closes a decade, and prepares the ground to an exit strategy. The attention draws to a new, probably Pakistani war theatre, or shows that the roots of the problem are should be found in Pakistan. The withdrawal of international forces and the developments of the situation in and around Afghanistan, are accelerating the dynamics of the South Asian region. The removal of Bin Laden has opened a new chapter in the U.S.-Pakistani relations and serves as catalyst of restructure of regional dynamics, and draws attention to the questions of nuclear proliferation.
