Critical infrastructure protection for the traffic and logistics systems

Abstract

The above titled conference concerned of high standard presentations on the aspect of traffic systems and the logistic chain as possible critical infrastructures. The topic has strong actualities although critical infrastructure protection (CIP) allows still many opportunities to research and define its fundaments. Despite the inconsistences may be seen at the national providing assistance for the legal regulatory works in this matter. While some presentations focussed on general and theoretical terms, others analysed specific aspects of certain critical were demonstrated in presentations according to the all traffic modes and combined developer's perspective was also assessed in details, just as its key dilemmatic questions. There were analysed both the challanges of the civilian and military logistics - especially from the fuel and the food supply points of view. However, dilemmas and successful management solutions were also traced through the example of the Kabul International Airport that currently is a functioning civil-military traffic means.
