After presenting the contemporary situation the Author describes the reasons of the offence on Venice, the preparations and procession of the siege, than he summarizes its lessons learned. In the essay he
also presents the new equipment that was implemented during the air assault, the balloon-bomb and its later version used during the Second World War.
