Regional and Global Consequences of Kosovo's Independence

Abstract
Kosovo in 2008 has unilaterally declared its independence. This act is not in conjunction with other cases of establishing independence in EasternEurope, therefore the question rises, whether it can be used as a precedent by other minority groups seeking independence. However, Kosovo’s case is special, so there is no real chance for such event.
