Global Defense Industry, The Guarantee of Peace or Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Abstract

Inspired by the natural desire for world peace and based on my knowledge of military engineering, I intend to present a short, general insight about the volume, influencing factors and trends of the global military industry and its market as well as recent results of international arms control over the past 20‒25 years in this article. I do this in order to assign the interpretation of article to the reader using a kind of comprehensive scientific approach from the available basic data and information as well as to give help to answer the question of introduction. Nevertheless a possible collection method of specific information is also presented in a professional way, despite of the typically more or less reliable and difficultly obtained information of defense industrial area.
