Some Challenges for Comprehensive Operational Planning in the Context of Multi-domain Operations and the Application of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

The methods of operational planning, at all levels of military operations, have always fundamentally determined the preparation of commanders and military staffs at the troops and in military higher education as well. These two studies review the challenges of a comprehensive operational planning method at the highest level of military operational planning, especially in the framework of the so-called multi-domain operations and artificial intelligence. In the second part of the study the authors review the main issues of the military application of artificial intelligence, especially in multi-domain operations.
