Abstract

In this paper we wish to explore and characterise the significant non-state actors of the Afghanistan war started in 2001. The research can be considered in the light of the evacuation in the summer of 2021, furthermore from a conceptual perspective the research field can be illustrative from the practical context of asymmetric warfare. In the course of data analysis, we apply secondary analysis, using the dataset of Global Terrorism Database. The outcomes and results of the analyses imply, that the military security sector of Afghanistan can be considered rather concentrated, however the Taliban in not the hegemon player, as it can be seen for example in the case of the cooperative network of the organizations.
