An Examination of the Innovation Environment of the Hungarian Defence Industry

Abstract

The Zrínyi Defense and Military Development Program is a comprehensive defense development program within which the government has set the goal of the modernization of the Hungarian Defense Forces and the broadest development of the Hungarian defense industry as part of a complex system of goals beyond security and defense policy. In the actual global security, economic and technological environment, these goals can only be achieved through significant innovations. The study, therefore, examines the Hungarian innovation insufficient to further improve domestic competitiveness and there are severe defense
industry-related challenges.
