Abstract

The AJP-5 doctrine forms the base of NATO’s operations planning system. The first draft was accepted in 2006, but it was published only in 2013 after a thorough revision. The most recent edition was accepted in 2019. The aim of this study is to give a broad comparison of the three versions’, and to give a comprehensive picture of the evolution of the doctrine.
