Abstract

Kiss Lajos Prize    

The award bearing the name of Lajos Kiss, academician linguist, onomatologist, was founded in 2005 by his widow, Katalin Fehértói. The award held by University of Debrecen is adjudicated in every 2-3 years to a scholar under 40 years for significant researches in the field of Hungarian historical topononomastics or anthroponomastics. Valéria Tóth, lecturer of University of Debrecen was the first to earn this award in 2006, for her ten-year-long researches on historical toponomastics, verified also by her two monographs, several edited books, twenty studies and more than one hundred references on her publicated works.
