Abstract

For the sixth time, the Population Research Institute of the HCSO has published the Demographic Portrait, launched in 2009 and published every three years. The aim of the volume is to provide a comprehensive overview of population trends in Hungary. As in previous editions, this volume of studies presents knowledge and context based on scientific analysis, in a concise and accessible way, illustrated with graphs and tables. The target audience, in addition to the narrow professional community, is policy-makers, higher education lecturers and students, as well as the lay reader interested in demographic issues.
