About the Journal

The mission of Egészségfejlesztés is to promote professional communication between healthcare and other relevant sectors, and to contribute to improving the quality of health promotion and public health in Hungary and internationally, thereby supporting better population health.

The journal publishes articles on the theory of health promotion and public health, as well as on Hungarian and international health promotion practice. It is intended for all those who are directly or indirectly involved in health promotion, including not only healthcare professionals but also professionals from other sectors, such as education and social services.

Egészségfejlesztés publishes two issues per year, one in May and one in November, and occasionally publishes thematic special issues. A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is assigned to each article published in the issues.

Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. Further details are provided in the journal’s Information on Copyright and Licensing.

Articles published in Egészségfejlesztés are freely available in open access format.

The journal is published by the National Centre for Public Health and Pharmacy, which fully covers the costs of publication. The journal has no other sources of income, does not engage in marketing activities, and does not publish paid advertisements.
