In situ measurements in the overconsolidated Kiscell Clay

Abstract

This study presents a general genesis process with respect to overconsolidated soils, and also examines the effects of
the overconsolidated ratio to structures. It demonstrates the possible methods for the determination of the values of the
overconsolidated ratio and of earth pressure at rest. The final part of the study considers the processing of the
measurement results used to determine the values of OCR (Overconsolidated ratio) and of λ0 (Earth pressure at rest) in
the Kiscelli Clay Marl.
