Abstract

The study aims to present the Miksa Hantken Public Benefit Foundation, established to support palaeontological activities in Hungary and operating since 2005. In addition to commemorating the namesake, this paper aims at makingknown the activities of the foundation more widely than before, thus increasing the number of potential future sponsors and beneficiaries. In the time since the establishment of the foundation, and even more so in the research that underpins the present review, several previously unpublished data about HANTKEN have come to light. As a result, a list of photographs and works of art about HANTKEN has been compiled, and in several cases, it has been possible to clarify the circumstances in which the works of art were created.
