Human macroecology as a new scientific discipline

Abstract

The article describes new basic research principles and fields relating to environmental protection, health care, natural resource management, culture etc. through introducing the definition and the most important indicators of a new scientific field called human macroecology. Given the expansion of globalization this complex and interdisciplinary research field necessitates not only traditional research activities but cooperation in exploration of problem solutions and practical activities between researchers, futurists, decision makers and everyday people.
