Abstract

Child abuse has been classified as a public health issue by WHO. Besides defining concepts and a brief historical overview, the article puts emphasis on the possible ways of prevention and its difficulties. It describes the Hungarian legal framework and the existing methodological guidelines. The article also highlights the role and tasks of people in the warning system, especially the obligation of warning and its statutorily ability.
