Sampling characteristics of the Nyíregyháza Life Quality Panel Survey in general and with focus on the Health Questionnaire
Abstract
The Nyíregyháza LifeQualityPanel Survey has been measuring the quality of life of urban residents since 2008. In 2018, the survey was split into two parts ‒the Health Questionnaire block was measured separately. The second survey focused on the health status of residents, access to the health care system, health behavior and health culture ‒under the name HealthPanel. The primary objective of this publication is to provide a sampling description of the Nyíregyháza LifeQuality Panel Surveyand the Health Survey (part of the Panel Study in 2018). The first general phase of the 2018 study reached 541peopleout of a sample of 1,000. The second phase (HealthPanel) reached nearly forty (391) people). Data processing was weighted for individual responses (age, gender, educational level). For household questions, the original data was used.As a summary of descriptive and analytical studies, it can be seen that the results are the same in 2018 as before. It can be emphasized that significantly more men thought that their state of health was good enough. Both genders think the same way about how much they can do for their health. The separated health assessment questionnaire provides a detailed insight into the health status of the urban population. The presented research results are closely related to the development of the Nyíregyháza City Health Plan.
