Abstract

Traditionally masculine norms act as a barrier to men's help-seeking behavior. Nevertheless, there are ways to promote their psychological well-being: a supportive environment where asking for help is accepted. Equally beneficial is framing the request as more masculine behavior. Challenging conventionally male norms can help men accept their vulnerability and encourage them to ask for help.
