Abstract

Chronic diseases are an increasingly serious public health problem in much of the world, including in Canada. The aim of the communication presented here was to estimate the multimorbidity of chronic diseases, i.e. the probability of having two or more chronic diseases simultaneously in a given time and population. The study analysed the lifestyle-related associations of 14 leading chronic diseases.
